Definition
Drilling is the process of creating a hole or well through a solid object, typically rock or earth, using a sharp piece of metal called a Drill bit. The Drill bit is rotated at high speed and applied to increasing pressure to break through the material, creating a hole or shaft.
History

Mechanism
