Babelcom
Babelcom was a product by Babelcorp. It was sold as an “AI Desk Buddy”, a substitute for human interaction in the workplace. The system was a “Fully AI” product, where the user just watched AI do all the work. The only work that Babelcom could do was write articles about whatever topics it wanted.
Hardware
Babelcom was built around the Intel Compute Stick. Possibly the worst computer ever made, the hardware was only capable of about 1 token/second. As Babelcom Coporate Management said, “it will complete the task in exactly the same time as a cluster of supercomputers”.
Capabilities
Babelcom was built around the idea of a Long Language Model. It was the first computer designed for zero human interaction to be required. The Long Language Model would simply sit there
